ah. in that case, I don't see it as very important. you'd need 7 expertise AND spend the energy AND hit a bow attack just to be able to cast some spell you're not skilled with (which would have to be a non-illusion mesmer spell OR some random spell you stole) twice in a 25-sec frame... and you still run the risk of missing the shot and getting screwed over. Sure, you might be able to make a nice build centered on it, but still doesn't sound like a game-breaking combo to me.

I think what people are trying to say is that many players welcome the addition of customizable heroes. These players become kinda annoyed when someone else makes them feel that they will be playing the game incorrectly. Guild Wars will still be a cooperative game and certainly a full team of intelligent real players will still be superior than heroes. Even players who love playing with others should appreciate the fact that they will now have another choice besides henchman if they need to fill in an extra slot or two.

The only thing that came to mind was HURRAY there is gonna be new skills AND armor for Rits and Sins.

Other then that, nothing really new from what we already heard...

ohhh, the new dances were a tad bit disappointing also...yeah...

arcane mimicry? isn't that the elite of target OTHER ally? There must be 2 mesmers with it for it to work.

Not saying this is impossible, far from it.

Is the Paragon dance the dance from Michael Jackson's "Bad" video?

Does anyone but me think they show us TOO MUCH in advance? I mean, will there be any suprises left for us to find on our own when we start playing Nightfall?

yes, it becomes the Elite of target other ally.

I've never actually used it, but why would Other ally be limited to another Mesmer?

I was just thinking of ways to use Sig. of Illusion with another Elite, if Sig itself is an Elite, and this immediately sprung to mind.

What, a few skills with little info, a few armors, and two dances is too much?

There will be plenty enough to discover, assuming the PvE preview doesn't reveal too much...

(if you're really worried about spoiling Nightfall, I would stop reading threads about Nightfall, and don't do the preview. This weekend you will see a lot more information posted here. New skills in all their detail, most new armors (including 15k), new pets, all the dances, etc., etc.)

oops i forgot it's expertise . It could be a gamble but i don't see ppl using it that way much.

Still with Mantra of Inscriptions it would kick ass.

Then why are you still here?

I mean, if its lame then it shouldn't be worth your time.

And if you actually played the game as much as most of the people here, you should realize that henchies have always been here and the Heroes option only gives you the ability to have personal henchmen.

This doesn't change gameplay or YOUR choice to group with humans. No one DENIED you that right. No one is denying ANYONE that right.

In OTHER MMOs, there is no such henchman option and you have to foot it on your own in situations when no one is there. ALSO since Guild Wars is a team game you really need others to progress whether they are real ppl or not.

You are really blowing things out of proportion just because someone reacted to your thoughts on the issue. They have a right to their opinion just as much as you have a right to yours.

I was thinking something like that myself. Sure, the exact nature of armor, enemies, skills, the campaign, etc, will still be surprises until the game is out, but I'm wondering whether there will be any larger new feature still being kept under wraps; ie.: will there be a new storage option? will there be any new interface updates (other than the skill/attribute window)? that kind of thing. I do hope they're still keeping something new and cool for release day, but either way, there's just so much good stuff coming up that I'm satisfied already.

yea, being a bass player myself, I've always liked that groove, and it popped right back to my mind when I saw that dance.

I'm pretty sure the Male dervishe's dance is from the Michael Jackson Egyptian video that included Eddy Murphy.

I can't Wait to build up my new customizable henchie. I wonder if we'll be able to rename them. If so, mine will be called Agent Sculley, or maybe Squiggy. lol

It's already confirmed as being from "beat-it". You can watch it on youtube if you want. And it's the male Paragon.

It does look boring, but if you think about it, it fits what the Dervish is.

And I think the Paragon dance comes from Beat it. But I'm not up on my Michael Jackson videos.

I'm so excited about this campaign! This whole customizable heroes thing makes me even more excited. And I logged on last night to get my Minion Bomber farther and heard the new Nightfall music. I'm so in love with this one. It's going to take dynamite to blast me out of my computer chair after this one comes out.
